Sergey Abdurahmanov

Mr.Abdurahmanov was born and raised in southern Russia, Baku (former USSR).

He graduated from the University of Art majoring in art and graphics. He began working as an artist in the beginning of 1980. His earliest creations were extremely expressive, full of protest against the strong censorship in art that was emblematic for Soviet Union.

Later Mr.Abdurahmanov turned his style more towards impressionism. He completely changed the tones and themes of his art. Now it is all about Woman, her Soul and her body. Woman in his art is a mysterious creation, almost unreal. In his compositions Sergey challenges relationship between colors and forms. Yet the sculpture and reliefs continue to reveal the object of his passion. They are filled with love and joy. His art pieces are beautiful and amazing, bright and colorful, extravagant and unpredictable, just like Woman.

Many of his paintings and sculptures are located in private collections in Russia, Turkey, France, Germany, Japan and USA. In 2000 he moved to San Diego, California.

In the past few years he had several sand sculpture projects in Denmark, China and Japan for which he received international awards and prizes.
